Pawan Shatters YSR Congress Part
Pawan Shatters YSR Congress Part
If
at all YS Rajasekhar Reddy would have acted smartly against
Chiranjeevi's Prajarajyam Party probably in the recent elections, YS
Jagan would have become the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. This
means, YSR Congress party and YS Jagan are paying the price for what YSR
did to PRP.
With 'YSR
Congress Hatao, Seemandhra Bachao' slogan, Pawan Kalyan came and
rescued both Telugu Desam and Bharatiya Janata Parties in Seemandhra as
well as in Telangana. Pawan's fearless attitude and speeches got
extensive coverage in the media and they have reached the public.
Pawan's whirlwind election campaign, his slogans, sensation comments
were the sole reasons of TDP and BJP victory in the elections.
Pawan's
charisma was proved as major leaders of YSRCP lost the elections and
wherein few lost their deposit too. For instances, YSRCP honorary
president Vijayamma losing Vizag Lok Sabha seat is the biggest storm in
the tea cup and Spokesperson Amabti Rambabu who has been the mouth piece
of YSRCP, faced a humiliating defeat. There is a huge list of leaders
who were humbled by the people with Pawan's effect. The loss did not
stop here, already newly elected MPs and few MLAs are looking at Telugu
Desam party and are getting ready to join too. Excluding Pawan's effect,
TDP proved its stamina in the municipal polls and now even ZPTC, MPTC
and corporators are readying themselves to change the party flag. This
can be merely called as being opportunist.
Indian
National Congress [INC] shortly called as Congress party has a history
of 125 years. Post Independence, Congress has ruled the country for
decades with small intervals in between. But then people always trusted
the Party for unknown reasons and the same happened in 2004. BJP led
NDA government which was in power, was humbled by Congress in the
general elections. With all the allies, Congress formed government in
the national level, AP and over the past decade, it was in government.
Till May
15th 2014, Congress had little hope that it would come into power for
the third time too. But on May 16th, when the election results were
announced, Congress was routed from the country and people's verdict
gave a tight slap, also made sure it could ever recover from a crisis
situation. Having won only 44 seats out of the 543, Congress was thrown
away from ten states where it could not even win one MP seat. Adding
fuel to the fire, Congress is facing tough challenge in the Parliament
to get the status of opposition. For any party to get the opposition
honor, it should get a minimum of 10 per cent seats on its own. With 44
seats, Congress lost the eligibility to qualify for the opposition and
is now wooing its allies to support to get the opposition status.
On this
note, Congress party is heard to be negotiating with YSR Congress party.
Congress wants to merge YSR Congress party with it which could ease its
tally and help in formation of opposition. YSRCP has won nine Lok Sabha
seats [One in Telangana, Khammam and the remaining in Seemandhra] and
with the merge, Congress number will be 53, one short off to get
opposition status. We hear from the reliable sources that Congress high
command has held discussions with YSRCP leadership but could not come to
a decision. The NDA government had information of Congress's proposal
to YSRCP and yesterday Prime Minister Narendra Modi passed this message
to Andhra Pradesh Telugu Desam MPs.
Though
TDP is not worried whether YSR Congress Party will merge with Congress
or not, it is closely observing the Congress's moves. Meanwhile YSRCP
which is claiming itself that they have lost the elections with a margin
of five lakhs votes, is estimating whether merging with Congress will
benefit the party or not. Nonetheless, Jagan is not in favor of merging
with Congress as he feels the party has insulted and betrayed him for
asking the Chief minister post after the death of the YSR. We should
also not forget that Pawan Kalyan had played a crucial role in keeping
YS Jagan out of power.
There
won't be any difference even if YSRCP merges with Congress, as people
are tired with its negligence. YSRCP atleast got opposition status where
as Congress is battling to get it. On the whole we can clear say Pawan
has ruined YSRCP chances of bagging the power while we can term it as
vengeance on YSR and Congress party who were behind PRP.

Our
state is no different either, nevertheless this time the animosity
seems to be on the rage with fierce comeptitions from splits. True Y S
Jagan Mohan Reddy's YSR Congress party has split from the parent of all
parties Congress, while K Chandrashekar Rao's TRS split from an alliance
with TDP. Now all the four are vying for power in the general elections
scheduled in 2014.
In
the process tall claims and taller promises are being made to prove
themselves the best alternative. Adding to this the topping of the icing
is massive walkathons. While the ordeal in the recent times was started
by the Congress Cheif Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy. He travelled by
various modes of conveyance to launch his 'Indiramma Baata'.
But
his contemporaries embarked on a more critical walkathons, probably
they have all the time to lure the public when compared to the CM who is
decked up with hectic schedule. TDP supremo N Chandrababu Naidu
embarked on "Vastunna Mee Kosam' and is trekking across the state while
showing his multi colours by intermingling with various sections.
Following
him is younger scion of the late Chief Minister YS Rajashekar Reddy,
Sharmila who is also on a similar but massive programme, 'Maro Praja
Prasthanam.' The YSR Congress leader took the roads after her sibling
was refused bail several times in the disproportionate asets case.
The
TDP veteran took a dig at the TRS Chief whether he could take a walk
with him even for a week, as a remark to the former stating that the TDP
chief's brain had been deceased earlier. So that confirms that the TRS
chief is really not embarking on any walkathons as of now.
On
the whole animosity between the
This
leaves the public in dilemma as to whom to reinstate in the state.
While every party has a steady set of followers which almost account to
eighty percent of the public, the rest 20 odd percent make the
difference. Which way will the vote bank swing? With not much of options
at hand what will happen if the one dreaded by you comes to
power?...just think before you ink....(Wishesh-AarKay)
Given
a chance, there seems no end for the hunger to acquire, this is one
side of the coin. As you flip it, if the allegations are untrue then the
question arises, to what extent one will to gain political mileage! Two
sides of the same coin, we are novices at this stage to judge which of
these statements holds good and the elite will reveal after thorough
investigation or else as usual we might not be interested after some
time. Anyways, leaving philosophy and results behind let us have a look
at what is happening at present.
On
Saturday the corporate involved in the controversy issued a statement
that all charges leveled were baseless and falsified. DLF clarified that
an amount of Rs 65 Cr was given as business advances for the purchase
of land "as per standard industry practice" for two projects of Rs 50 Cr
and Rs 15 Cr, respectively, of which the latter was refunded as DLF
decided against the purchase. They went on further to state, at no stage
was a interest free loan ever given to the Skylight group (Mr Vadra's
companies). The conglomerate also added that Mr Vadra and his companies
had purchased several apartments, but these were bought at market rates.
Instantly after the communication by the corporate was aired by media. The
Condemning
the charges leveled by the activist, Mr Vadra came out in an open
statement that the allegations were framed to defame his clean image.
He said that they (activists) were "attempting to malign him and his
family to gain cheap publicity". He also said that he was a law abiding
citizen and all his transactions were transparent. He clarified that all
his financial statements have been submitted and public could have a
look at it in the concerned departments. 'My business transactions are
fully reflected in financial statements filed before appropriate
government authorities in compliance with the law. They are available in
the public domain to anyone interested in knowing the truth,' said Mr
Vadra.
And
the latest issue is that today, Mr Kejriwal plans to release certain
vital documents that might trouble the Gandhi clan further. Pro-Congress
observers feel that this is just a cheap
